Here is Master K's book website, www.thebeautyofkinbaku.com

As far back as I go with The City of Angles, I'm surprised I neither bumped into nor heard of an individual who refers to himself as Master "K". I first learned of him after coming to Japan -- through the internet, of course.

Master K's wonderful second book about the art and history of Kinbaku is such a treasure to me. I love hearing him, when I get to spend time in his presence, speak on these aspects of the history, artists, techniques, and ways of Kinbaku. When I am back home I reread the book frequently, as it helps me in my study. His artistry is unique. I enjoy watching him tie, as there is such clarity in his movement. Although we've seen his work before, I think this is the first time we see him working. You get a glimpse of his hands moving gracefully with the rope, and see some additional work you do not see in the book.

As an act of service to my rope study group, and greater rope community, I created a series of lectures on preparing the body for going into rope. There are two on the shoulder girdle, three on the lower body and pelvis, and one on the spine, and then an additional video showing me doing some of my movement patterns without my talking during it. I am an educator, and teacher trainer, in movement anatomy and biomechanics of the spine, a Pilates teacher and aerial artist.

I sometimes post my rope experiences on my Youtube account http://www.youtube.com/user/BeatriceRappaccini [Incorrect oEmbed URL]

I particularly like to study the artists in Japanese SM, and the history of the practices. I leave all the technique knowledge to J ; ) my long time rope partner.

Still from a video of J tying me in my PJs
